"Here, in her own words, this remarkable woman tells of her early life as a young journalist in the crucible of Greenwich Village political and literary thought in the 1920s, and of her momentous conversion to Catholicism that meant the end of a Bohemian lifestyle and common-law marriage and the beginning of a life-long dedication to the poor and disenfranchised."--Quote taken from back cover.

What a fascinating person! Really radical, especially for her time, but also very honest. I'm about half way through this book and I can hardly put it down.
The Catholic Worker Movement website has more information on Dorothy, including the information that her diaries have recently (in April of this year)been published -- the compilation is 700 pages long!
I can hardly wait to talk about this one!
